Food Culture

Steamed dumpling, originated in China, has a long history. Wrap a thin layer of dough around minced pork and vegetable filling, and then cook in a steamer over high heat. After steaming, pork with fat and lean exudes juices sealed in the translucent wrapper. The fresh steamed dumpling looks tasty and mouth-watering, usually served with a soy sauce dip to not overshadow the taste of meat juices.

Handmade Food Recipe

  • Ⅰ. For wrapper
  • Add all purpose flour, some water, and salt in a large bowl, and then stir them well.
  • Knead dough. In the process, add water little by little if needed until dough become smooth and elastic.
  • Cover with wet cloth and rest for one hour.
  • Divide dough into four equal portions.
  • Roll out each dough ball as thin as possible.
  • Apply a round cutter to cut out wrappers.
  • Ⅱ. For filling
  • Finely chop cabbage.
  • Sprinkle salt on chopped cabbage and rest for 15 minutes.
  • Drain cabbage in a strainer.
  • Slice scallions and cilantro; grate fresh ginger
  • Add scallions, cilantro, fresh ginger, drained cabbage, ground pork, soy sauce, sesame oil, and eggs in a large bowl, and then well mix these ingredients.
  • Ⅲ.
  • Spoon filling on the center of wrapper.
  • Smear water on the edge.
  • Fold it in half and tightly press the seam.
  • Pleat the edge.
  • Cook in a steamer.

In order to connect AFD-888 and a tunnel steamer, we installed an arranging device at the end of AFD-888 conveyor. Dumplings were lined up on the steamer conveyor without manual arrangement.

Before steaming dumplings, the dumplings made by AFD-888 needed to be collected on trays manually again and again. In order to save labors, ANKO team designed division plates and a mesh conveyor. As long as the height of AFD-888 and steamer was proper adjusted, dumplings could remain upright to be sent from AFD-888 conveyor, steamer conveyor to tunnel steamer.

Food Equipment Introduction

  • Put dough belt roll onto rack, the dough is pre-pressed into 1.2 cm thick.
  • Put stuffing into stuffing hopper
  • Press dough belt into 0.1 cm thick through three sets of pressing rollers.
  • Dough wrappers are cut out and fall on molds
  • Through piston-type system, the stuffing is deposited into wrappers
  • Wrap dumplings with pneumatic open/close mold device.
  • Push out dumplings and deliver them with conveyor.

AFD-888 wraps dumplings with the pneumatic-driven open/close mold device and the PU pulley installed on the device performs the function of reducing mold abrasion.

The open/close mold device on AFD-888 is dedicated to wrap stuffing. The dumpling seam can be sealed by the pressure of the mold easily because the dough contains a certain water to remain viscous.

It is worth mentioning that the PU pulleys with high hardness, good abrasion resistance, and high resilience not only help to generate the pressure driven by air cylinder to seal the seam tightly, but also can absorb shock as a buffer to reduce abrasion during mold closing.

AFD-888 is made of food grade materials, meeting the CE standard. We transferred the manual process of rolling out dough into three pressing rollers and keep the taste unchanged. The stuffing is filled by a distinctive depositing unit with piston-type system; meanwhile, a recycling system is able to collects the rest of dough to avoid waste. Then, the finished products are lined up on conveyor in double rows to be collected and packed easier. The hourly capacity is up to 9,000 dumplings. As for product weight, 18-20 g, 24-26 g, and 28-30 g are producible.


Dumplings made by AFD-888 Automatic Dual Line Imitation Hand Made Dumpling Machine are lined up in two straight rows to make the next packing process easier. With the unique piston-type system, stuffing weight is able to be modified. The dough wrapper recycling system can recycle the rest to be pressed into dough belt again.
